The N-boat II was the evolution of N-boat I. Building upon the 1-meter sailboat used as the foundation for N-boat I, it ended up incorporating the specifications for N-boat II.

Consequently, the new project had to meet the following criteria:

  • Navigate in open waters.
  • Be able to sail in windy conditions with gusts of up to 20 knots.
  • Provide more space for onboard computers and other control modules.
  • Have considerable payload capacity.
  • Be equipped with solar panels and batteries that enable missions lasting more than 3 days (energy autonomy).
  • Be cost-effective.

Thus, the N-boat II project was born. Below are the project details and specifications:
